On February 9th, 2016 Voip-Pal initiated a suit for patent infringement in the Federal District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada against Apple, Inc ("Apple").  The case number is 2:16-CV-00260. 

 

On February 10th, 2016, Voip-Pal initiated a suit for patent infringement in the Federal District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada against AT&T, Inc. (AT&T) and Verizon Wireless (Verizon).  The case number is 2:16-CV-00271.

On August 26, 2016, Voip-Pal filed its preliminary response (with exhibit) in interpartes review (IPR) proceedings initiated by Unified Patents, Inc.

 

On September 19, 2016 and September 21, 2016, Voip-Pal filed its preliminary response (with exhibits) in IPR proceedings initiated by Apple, Inc. regarding Voip-Pal's RBR '815 and RBR Messaging '005 patents.

On October 6, 2016, Voip-Pal initiated a suit for patent infringement in the Federal District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada against Twitter, Inc.  The case number is 2:16-CV-02338.

On November 18, 2016, the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB) denied institution of the Unified Patents, Inc. IPR proceeding on all grounds.

On November 21, 2016, the USPTO PTAB ruled to institute the Apple, Inc. IPR proceedings.

​

On December 5, 2016, Voip-Pal filed Requests for Rehearing on the PTAB's decision to institute the Apple IPR.

​

On February 10, 2017, Voip-Pal filed its Patent Owners Responses to the Apple IPRs.

​

On August 24 and 25, 2017, Voip-Pal filed Patent Owners Responses to additional Apple & AT&T IPRs.
